So, I guess it’s the season for pumpkin-food-items. This is a seasonal tradition I have never really cared about one way or the other, aside from the year I made pumpkin bread. And then another loaf of pumpkin bread. And then another.
I don’t know what year that was, but it’s probably in the archives here somewhere, because I’m sure I talked about it.
Anyway! This year! I suddenly love all things pumpkin! I don’t know what happened. Where usually I would say “meh” to a slice of pumpkin pie, I have recently been barely able to contain myself long enough for it to cool down to eat. Pumpkin iced cappuccino, Tim Hortons? That really does sound absolutely disgusting, but yes! Delicious!
I came home last night sometime between midnight and 2 a.m. and managed to completely miss the muffin tin on the kitchen counter, despite the fact that I walked right by it on the way to the refrigerator for a bottle of water.
So, my breakfast? Homemade pumpkin muffins.
It’s like the universe is one big fat enabler (or I’ve been too busy carving crooked angry faces into pumpkins to pay much attention to them otherwise).

I’ve actually never eaten anything “pumpkin”. I have had some vegetable soup with bits of pumpkin in it, but I have never ate pumpkin muffins, pie.. anything of that sort. I guess pumpkin is not such a Nordic thing.
