So long, July.

So that’s it for July, is it? Huh.

I can’t remember much of what I did in July (compared to June it was incredibly tame), but the fact that I don’t remember any specific episodes of strife or confrontation tells me I probably spent most of it sitting beside a fire and relaxing (actually, I lied – I remember spending several nights last month doing exactly that. I also now remember mentioning it more than once and for that I am sorry).

I haven’t had a year in a long while that I could claim was good overall. I think the last time was 2005, but 2009 is shaping up to be a little more fantastic than that. I’ll be in Cleveland (going deaf) at a concert mid-month, and the 28th and 29th I’ll be in Indiana seeing a play. In October I’ll hopefully be back in Cleveland for more fun deafening music. Yes, I am perfectly willing to make long trips for things like plays and live music. I’m also incredibly grateful to have the resources to be able to, because I know there are people who don’t, and sometimes I feel selfish enjoying myself.

But I get over it, because not enjoying myself to the fullest kind of destroys the opportunity, doesn’t it?

It seems like last week was when we were at conference. This year is going by insanely fast. As for the month of July, it was really mellow for me.

I think my last good year overall was to 2005 as well. At least, the summer of ’05 was awesome (though a bit drama filled).

Summer months always go by fast for me. June seem to come and go within a weeks time.

It feels as if this year is going by at a blink of an eye. Everything has happened so fast but it’s been a pretty good year. Its definitely better than the past two years for me, that’s for sure.

So far, I’m not all that into 2009. I’m hoping that the rest of the year is kinder, gentler and doesn’t try to stick it up my ass. Ha ha – so classy this one ;)
