1. The Brita Ultramax. Call me a nerd, but I hate the taste of unfiltered tapwater, and I try really hard to not drink from disposable bottles. We had a faucet filter, but I have the arm strength of a gnat and it was getting difficult to actually turn the knobby thing to actually turn the filter on (go ahead, laugh). Refrigerator dispenser to the rescue! Cold water at the flip of a not difficult to turn plastic lever.
2. Lavish and its lovely members and holiday card swaps and Secret Santas.
3. City Park and its holiday light displays that contain – inexplicably – dragons, dinosaurs, and palm trees.
4. One of my best friends having a baby.
5. Getting to see a handful of other friends being so happy about graduating college.

Posted 14 Dec 2009 at 8:06 pm ¶We used to buy these big cases of bottled water every week, and, without fail, every time I put one in the cart I’d think, “Why do we keep buying these?”
Now we just use the filtered water from the fridge… though I do need to pick up a Kleen Kanteen for portability.
