Fist shaking.

I am not a big fan of this season. I don’t like shorter days, colder temperatures, more frequent rainier weather, mid-terms, final exams, having to wear shoes that aren’t flip flops, jackets, the threat of snow, the threat of snow tires, and so on.

It is the only season of the year that has never, ever been my favorite. For a long time I liked winter – I liked sledding, snowmen, hurling snow covered ice-balls at people I pretended were my friends. I grew to like spring because it meant winter was over. I love summer. But fall – it might be pretty, sort of, if you like, um, leaves that stay red or orange for a few days before they turn brown and poky and ugly, but me? No, I’ve never been a fan.

The period of time between mid-September and early December is horrible, stagnant, and underwhelming. It just is.

Phew. Glad I got that out of my system.

Also glad some friends I haven’t seen in awhile are in town. They always seem to show up at the perfect time, which is an excellent trait to have, if you ask me.

I don’t like this season either. I just get super depressed. You described it more eloquently than I would. *hugs* Have fun with your friends.

But fall clothes are SO CUTE. Let’s turn on some lights, eat some soup and soak up the (setting far too soon) sunshine!

Aww, I actually LOVE fall. It’s the wind I think… it’s got a slight chill and it smells wonderful. Plus, the whole “Harvest Season” vibe is fun for me – apple pies, roasted squash, etc. :)
