Right now, more than anything, I just want to be outside.
Well, wait. I just want to be comfortable outside. I was outside yesterday, hanging out under the clear blue sky in a t-shirt and jeans, and freezing my arms off because I was a little desperate for some air and some grass and some trees and some birds flying over my head threatening to shit on my pizza, and so on.
It needs to warm up. I’m on spring break (I remember spring break being longer in high school, sigh), and I’m sitting in an office in front of a computer, pouring caffeine down my throat as fast as I can to keep myself awake, and it just is not cutting it.
(Also, because I can’t be comfortably outdoors, I have resorted to baking cookies. While they are mighty cute and tasty cookies, they are cookies and that means they are no good.)
I can’t wait for summer. I’ve got a week blocked out on my calendar (in my mind, it’s labeled in big fat red marker with ‘fun times’) involving a three day nerdfest in the woods of West Virginia and a trip into Ohio to see my favorite band at my favorite amphitheater (yeah, I’ve got one of those), and it is taking way too long to get here. I would even be willing to skip my birthday next month to get on with it.
On a note unrelated to this: I kind of hate this website. It needs an attitude-lift. I need my creativity back. This is a horrible climate.

I can’t wait for summer either. I’m sick of all this cold, cold weather.
