The forecast is calling for snow tomorrow, for the first time. I’ve come to terms with the fact that weather happens, I guess. Ha.

So, Thanksgiving. I try to make a point of being thankful for things every day, but I figure if someone wants to ask me, specifically, on one day of the year what I am thankful for, I will be happy to tell them.

Today, I am thankful for haircuts, even though I can already tell that mine has grown out more than I expected it to this fast. I am thankful for instructors who are willing to let me re-do finals because I shrivel at the sight of numbers and forget what I am supposed to do. I’m thankful for this song because it’s been stuck in my head for a month and I don’t even care. I’m thankful for my family – for parents who have always encouraged my weird little whims and supported me when a lot of parents probably wouldn’t have, and for my little brother who was a real turd when he was a kid but is now not only a lot taller than me but is also one of the best people I know. I am thankful for my friends, because they’re my friends. I am glad to be alive, in the world, today, at 22.
